Featured Testimonial – Newport Coast Custom Renovation

My wife and I purchased our multi-million dollar dream retirement home in Newport Coast, CA. The home had extensive renovations prior to us purchasing it a year and a half ago, but they were incomplete. We hired Hector and his team to finish off the renovations that the home required, and to fix some of the original renovations that were done incorrectly by the previous owner. It is a huge understatement to say that we could not have lucked out any more than we did by finding and hiring Hector and his crew. 

Hector understands all aspects of home building, which is a critical factor when doing any kind of renovation, especially to a high-end home in Newport Coast. I used to own four businesses myself, and one thing I know about running a successful business is that the details matter. Hector and his team provided the utmost detailed meticulous work, and the result is extremely impressive. The work completed at our home so far by Hector was:

a - gutting and installing a new fireplace, stone wall, custom shelving, lighting, and custom cabinetry in our family room

b - tearing out and redoing all tiled shower floors throughout the home, as the previous owners had completed it incorrectly as it cracked and leaked

c - Hector and team built a custom laundry room off the master ensuite (including countertop, cabinets, plumbing, sink and tile flooring). The cabinetry was constructed to perfectly match the existing ensuite cabinets. They then gutted, designed and built an entirely new master closet all with the same matching custom cabinetry which was intricate in design, and done exceptionally well

f - converting the decorative stone faux fireplace in the master bedroom into a fully functional electric stone fireplace

Hector sent pictures of the progress and work completed at the end of every day. I showed a picture of the preparation work that Hector and his team did prior to starting any of the renovations to a friend of mine (who is in the insurance and property restoration business). He commented that he could tell from the level of preparation conducted to protect my home and furniture that Hector is a professional, and that it’s clear that he knows what he’s doing through and through. 

Hector is also fair with his pricing. I’m retired now, but I have been a hands-on person all my life, and I know what things cost. The home inspector that we hired prior to buying our home, as well as our realtor had warned me about the pricing that some contractors levy in Newport Beach / Newport Coast for the work they do – they called it “the Newport rich people tax”. Hector is smarter than that, as he is fair. He knows that by providing excellent work at a fair price that over a long period of time, he will win in the end. Hector rolls up his sleeves, and is on-site with his team to not only do the work, but to guide and mentor his team to ensure the work is done to his standard - which is very high. His “team” are not temporary subcontractors - they are his own trusted full-time staff that he hires, trains and mentors himself. This is how he ensures that the quality and craftmanship of the work he delivers will meet his exacting standards. My neighbors have asked to see the work Hector completed in our home, and all were incredibly impressed. One used his company recently, and she has repeatedly thanked me for the recommendation. 

Hector says what he does and does what he says - these days this has become a rare trait in this world. Ultimately, I felt that I could trust Hector to handle every single aspect of the renovations to our home, so that it was completely hands free, and stress-free for myself and my family. We are extremely happy with the work done, and grateful to Hector for how he has transformed our home.
